Best in Gas Mileage

When shopping for a new vehicle, one of the top considerations for a smart consumer should be – fuel-efficiency – with factors like looks, power, even that extra cup holder (yes, you deserve that extra cup holder!) coming much lower on the list, if at all. In this edition of Best in Gas Mileage, we asked Nassco to recommend 6 vehicles from their fleet that are great on gas. We’re not surprised that three hybrids made the list. (We’ll share some tips and guidelines on shopping for a hybrid in our next edition. Stay tuned!)

Toyota Rush

PRICE: (MID) – $87,500/(HIGH) – $93,995

A top choice when it comes to fuel economy (fuel consumption is rated at 25 miles per gallon), the Rush is a multi-talented SUV to match your lifestyle. Its 220mm ride height and 31-degree approach along with its 26.5-degree departure angle allow easy traversing on mixed surfaces. Impressive, right?

Toyota Corolla Hybrid

PRICE: $114,995

The all-new 2020 Corolla Hybrid takes the sharp, new redesign of the conventional Corolla and adds the highly efficient powertrain of the Prius. The result? An attractive compact sedan with phenomenal mileage, boasting 52 miles per gallon.

Toyota C-HR Hybrid

PRICE: $114,995

A vehicle that’s distinctive, fun to drive and promises a low fuel bill? The Toyota C-HR Hybrid ticks all of these boxes. Performance is one of the key features with smooth, everyday driving and it’s even possible for up to 80 per cent of mileage to be covered in electric power alone!

Toyota C-HR Hybrid (black roof)

PRICE: $123,500

A sleek interior that’s well-made and by no means ordinary, the black roof edition of the C-HR Hybrid scores top points for its powerful hybrid motor. Plus, too, the two-tone colour scheme helps the range-topping Dynamic stand out even more and its 58.8 miles per gallon performance makes it especially appealing.

Toyota RAV4

PRICE: $124,995

The new Toyota RAV4 comes with a more powerful engine, more safety features and bolder styling. Features like the Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection and Blind-Spot Monitoring makes it a favourite among drivers. Fuel economy is 27 miles per gallon overall while the hybrid is 37 miles per gallon overall.
